CHICAGO — A judge in Lake County is expected to set a trial date Monday for the man accused of the mass shooting at the Highland Park Fourth of July Parade.Robert Crimo III, who prosecutors say opened fire on crowds of people watching the parade in 2022, is facing more than 100 charges, including dozens of first-degree murder and attempted murder charges.Seven people were killed, dozens were hurt and countless others were traumatized in the shooting.Crimo III pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bond. CHICAGO -- Prosecutors are using recordings made by ex-alderman turned FBI mole Danny Solis to make their case against the once powerful Ed Burke.Prosecutors decided months ago to not to put Solis on the stand. Burke's attorneys told the judge they will call Solis to the stand and plan to question him for hours about the recordings alone.In the recording Solis says, "I think I've got some good news. I talked to Skydell today. Burke responded saying "So, did we, uh, land the tuna?" The TxDOT Austin X account posted about the crash at 8:44 a.m. and said traffic was being diverted to the frontage road at Rundberg Lane. KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Charles Burgher, 32, of Highland, was sentenced to 56 years in state prison following a four-day jury trial in October. A woman caught on camera saying “I hate Mexicans” in a Disneyland bathroom led to the arrest of a well-known street-vendor activist in San Bernardino County Sunday. Two men suspected in the October killing of a liquor store clerk in West Covina have been arrested and booked, police said Monday. The homicide occurred on Oct. 8, when 34-year-old Karanvir Singh was killed at Big Bob's Liquor store. A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested two days after the killing.
